Signed by Leo Perez (Angels)... attended Prof. Luis Guarionex Landestoy High School in the Dominican Republic... participated in the Yankees' donation of $25,000 in cash, food and supplies to aid in hurricane relief in the Dominican Republic in November 2007... was joined by Yankees Latin prospects and staff to distribute an additional $10,000 donation in food and supplies to help rebuild a local school ravaged by the storm in Ramirez' hometown... is a regular particpant in Yankees players visits to local Bronx hospitals and schools... joined teammates at Jordan's Barber Shop in the Bronx on 7/8/08, helping give haircuts to underprivileged kids.
